until the invention of a practical time machine (maybe the REAL reason behind the scientology?), none of us is getting another apocalypse dudes. not gonna happen. still rather listen to the worst turboneger album than the best material most current musicians have to offer. and holly, you certainly must admit that even the mighty hellacopters were just going through the motions towards the end.

o well, I used to be a junkie that would buy into everything turboneger did. but with all line-up changes and an album that is somewhat uninspired (an attempt to buy into the american market I guess, but it comes across as: we have no more ideas), the magic seems to be gone for good. and having played with a drummer who is heavy into scientology, I can say it does effect the band chemistry no matter what! tensions are bound to erupt and a split is inevitable. after all, these guys are getting seriously brainwashed! I still see the man in question on the street every now and then - glassy eyed - trying to convert and lure folks to enter the holy building of hubbard's diciples. I wouldn't want to know what is going on in there...

The reason I liked the band initially was that they were the antithesis of the punk police, so Kimme, please do not pigeon hole me as a dreadlocked stasi. I had my fill of all that shit in the 80's.

I do not decide for others what is good or not, but some people are happy to go with a crowd, or even worse, treat a fan club as an unquestionable ideology.. that is human nature, and if it makes Jurgen from Lurgen happy, that's none of my business. All sensible humans are willing to make their own minds (and the definition of sensibility is ambiguous) up in relation to what their beliefs are, but history has proven that blanket belief in an ideal, political ideal, or a fan club, take for example, the Stahlhelm, can lead to bold nonsense.

I do care what people's beliefs are, because beliefs are relevant, and I do not confine these cares to music.

As for the jackets, and their age?? Who would theseimpress? The Impressionable? Jacketman?

Just to clarify, and this is my opinion, and good luck to what will be left of those in Turbo who may actaully wrote something decent in the future (Tom???), they care fuck all about those who had a hand in lining their pockets in the last few years after a long hiatus, and me myself, I won't finance no more of that.
